Qualification Cut-Off

Important: The minimum educational qualification must already be completed on the date of submitting the application. Candidates acquiring the required qualification after the prescribed date are not eligible for the advertised post.

MP Domicile and Reservation Rules 2026

Candidates who are not permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh can apply only against eligible Unreserved / Open vacancies. Reservation and applicable age relaxation benefits require Madhya Pradesh domicile as prescribed in the rulebook.

Reservation Categories

  • Vertical categories include UR, OBC, SC, ST and EWS.
  • Horizontal reservation includes Women, Police Employees and Ex-Servicemen as prescribed.

Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted separately for non-technical and technical posts. The preliminary stage is used to shortlist candidates for the main examination, while the main examination is used to shortlist candidates for the physical proficiency test and interview.

The Physical Proficiency Test is compulsory for candidates called for this stage. The test carries 100 marks.

MPESB SI & Subedar Final Selection and Merit 2026

The final merit lists for non-technical and technical direct recruitment posts are prepared separately on the basis of the prescribed marks obtained in the Main Written Examination, Physical Proficiency Test and Interview.

Candidates must also satisfy the prescribed document verification, physical measurement, medical examination, character verification and other eligibility conditions.

Important: A candidate who fails the prescribed minimum physical proficiency requirement or is found ineligible during document verification will not be considered for appointment even if the candidate has qualified an earlier written examination stage.
